The school employs both expatriate and
Papua New Guinean teachers.
The school follows the mandatory curriculum
framework issued by the IEA. Within this framework,
policies and practice are derived from a variety of
sources in keeping with the international nature of
the school.
The school is well resourced with a
well-equipped library and ample teaching materials.
A computer network operates at the international school
site serving the computer room, the library and offices.
The school employs Papua New Guinea
citizens in various administrative positions, i.e. Property
Officer, Finance Officer, Secretary and Librarian as
well as grounds and maintenance staff.
Both the school and the International
Education Agency organize regular professional development
activities and conferences often featuring leading educators
from overseas.
School hours commence at 8.30am and finish
at 2.30pm, 3:00pm in the High School.

employs a property officer to oversee these. These housing
units are available for rent to the business community.

A Board of Governors elected by parents
manages the school. The Board operates under guidelines
laid down by the International Education Agency, which
employs the teaching staff and owns the school. The
school is a non-profit organization.
Parents are encouraged to involve themselves
in the school's activities in order to form a true partnership
with teachers in the education of their children. |
