"The quality of our school is key to your child's future"

What we do is important. We have a powerful influence on how your children will picture themselves as learners and achievers for the future. We want our children to look back to Madang International School and say that it prepared them well for a modern world. Our school is also a place where we live today. We need to set challenges and design pathways that make learning powerful, meaningful and relevant. Madang International School looks to the future by building on the best of the past and incorporating this with the knowledge of the present. We also seek new ideas and carefully evaluate changes that will lead to a better tomorrow.

Madang International School is owned and operated by the International Education Agency of Papua New Guinea. As a member of the IEA, Madang International School benefits from:

  • belonging to a group of schools and sharing knowledge, resources and access to further education.
  • access ideas from other International School Systems.
  • both financial and educational audit.
  • professional Development and training offered to teachers.
  • advice and support especially in financial management and leadership.

Madang International School charges a school fee but is not expected to make a profit. All monies collected are used to meet the running costs of the school including teacher's salaries, resources, maintenance, utilities and program materials.

Madang International School offers high quality education through:

  • the use of Curriculum developed by Educational Consultants and derived from OECD the curriculums of Countries to ensure success for students either returning to other countries, or continuing their education in Papua New Guinea.
  • ongoing training of its teachers to fully implement the IEA Curriculum.
  • supporting teachers in gaining qualifications from overseas universities.
