Kiunga International School is in a peaceful, safe and quiet environment.

The school curriculum is IEA outcomes based, ensuring that students are able to succeed at their own levels. Count Me In Too, a hands on developmental Mathematics program is used in the lower grades and Rainbow Reading, a New Zealand program, is being implemented throughout the school. The classrooms are multi-age with students from different grades being taught in the same classroom.

There are 2 classrooms, a small Teacher’s Resource Centre and the Principal’s office. There are small libraries in each classroom. There is a huge playground in which students may play and be involved in sport, as well as use of a sand pit. The OTML pool is available for swimming lessons and is used by the school. The school opened its new computer/science room and its new ablution block. Students can now have access to various computer programs. The school is a growing school and we continue to provide the best learning for our students.
